In their natural habitat, octopi appear to communicate telepathically. Here, the octopi act as ‘telepathy helmets’, facilitating a psychic communication between the artists. Ink begins to unfurl as the artists attempt to realise one another by the instrument of the inferior animal. The water offers a purgative galaxy to the human. One of which the human may abandon when clean, leaving behind its waste in the animal habitat. At the end we are left alone with the empty vessel of the victim. It is the picture at the end of war which invites us to show compassion for the feeble enemy.
